Early Learning

King Island District High School provides quality education for children from Birth to Year 12. Facilities at the school include a gymnasium, a heated indoor pool and an Arts Centre with state of the art sound and lighting equipment.

All students study the Australian Curriculum subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography and Health & Physical Education. Primary students also participate in Music, Visual Arts and Library lessons each week. Some Primary classes may attend MDT and Cooking lessons. Secondary students choose three specialist subjects each week, these may include; Cooking, MDT, Music, Outdoor Education, Outdoor Maintenance, Visual Arts, Cafe, Online Learning, Drama and Agricultural Studies.
