School Attendance
Regular and punctual attendance is essential for students to learn effectively and participate fully in school life. All student absences must be explained with a note from home or a phone call to the office. Students leaving the school during the day must sign out at the office.

School Uniforms
The school requires the wearing of a uniform by all students. We believe that school uniform instills pride and fosters equity. It helps us to create an identity and sense of cohesion. The office has supplies of the uniform.  Download the price list.

All students are allocated to houses, ether Bronzewing (yellow) or Cataraqui (blue) for the sports and swimming carnivals and other competitions throughout the year. House Tshirts are available for purchase from the office.
All students are required to wear a hat when involved in any outdoor activity during terms 1 & 4.

Assemblies
Primary assemblies are held each Friday morning in the School Arts Centre for 8.45am.

Whole School assemblies rotate through Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in an effort to avoid impacting on the learning in the same classes each time. These assemblies start at 10.45am. Dates will be advertised in the school newsletter. There will be a minimum of one per term.

First Aid or Illness
Any student who suffers an injury or is ill must come to the front office. Parents will be notified by the First Aid Officer if required. It is not appropriate for students to phone parents. Students who are ill should not attend school.

Computer Use Agreement
All students in the school have access to computers, iPads and other technical equipment for their studies. An ‘ICT Resources Acceptable Use Agreement’ will be sent home at the beginning of each school year.

Mobile Phones and other Devices
Secondary students are permitted to have their mobile phones and other devices at school as long as they adhere to the usage guidelines.

An ICT Resources Acceptable Use Agreement” must be completed at the beginning of each school year.

Local Excursions
Local excursions or field trips are organised by teaching teams as necessary. Parents will be notified of planned excursions in the newsletter or a note home. A blanket excursion consent is incorporated into the student validation form or admission form at the beginning of each school year.

School Bus
The Department of Infrastructure, Energy, and Resources provides a free school bus service for students. There are three bus routes covering different parts of the island, traveling morning and afternoon. Contact the office for the details and contact numbers for the bus contractors.

The school owns a bus which is used to transport students around the island for excursions, sporting, and other educational events. The school bus is driven by a qualified staff member.
